I take Benadryl every night, 50mgs and also 5 or 10mg of Ambien every other night along with the Benadryl. Sometimes Xanax, but rarely.

I have been taking ambien 5-10mg. The 10mg seems to work honestly well but I worry about taking all that medication. I took the 5mg last night and was still awake at 4:30am. Not nervous, just unable to fall asleep. Once I am asleep I don’t have much distress staying asleep.

I have had insomnia for a while now and I have been taking prescription meds. The doctor first gave me Ambien and now I am taking Trazodone (50mg). The Trazodone has helped tremendously until last night. I took 100mg and an ambien and I still didnt sleep.What is going on?
Please only educated answers. Thanks
